Who is "Carson Taylor"?

Ian Ferguson, who, after a 10-year break from playing, wanted to form a guitar-based group and get back to the basics of blues/rock, formed Carson Taylor Band in August 1991. With Tony Lunt, who was in Carson with Ian, they recruited Lindsay Nankivell and Tony Baars from Snakehipps Taylor and the band was formed. Hence the name!

There have been some changes through the years and the current line up of Ian Ferguson; bass, vocals, harp; Kevin Buckingham; guitar, vocals; Geoff Spooner; guitar and Bob Pritchard, drums, has taken them onto a higher level of performance.

Previous personnel include original members Tony Baars and Lindsay Nankivell, Bryan Angliss and Kevin Fennessy, with jammers including, Broderick Smith, Phil Manning, Ross Hosking, Mick Elliott, Ken Maling and Bill Lincoln just to name a few.

They have only one philosophy when playing; "Lets have fun". Although, on a few occasions, the phrase "See you at the other end" has been uttered at the start of the night. One thing is for sure. You'll have a great time being entertained by one of Australia's most professional bands.

They are currently recording their 2nd CD at the moment for release next year and it will mainly consist of original material by Kevin and Ian.Some of the tracks will be new to their audiences, but it is assured it will be of the highest standard.
